One of the world’s largest cryptocurrency industry gatherings, TOKEN2049, has announced that its Dubai edition will be postponed to April 21–22, 2027.

Organizers confirmed the decision was made in collaboration with partners and stakeholders following ongoing uncertainty in the region, which could impact safety, international travel, and event logistics.

The announcement marks a significant shift for one of the crypto industry’s most anticipated conferences.

Safety and Global Participation Take Priority

In an official update shared by the TOKEN2049 team, organizers emphasized that the safety and experience of attendees remain the top priority.

The event, which regularly attracts thousands of founders, investors, exchanges, and builders from across the digital asset industry, aims to maintain its reputation for hosting large-scale global gatherings.

    According to the organizers:

“Ensuring the global crypto industry can gather safely, and at the scale and quality that define TOKEN2049, remains our top priority.”

Preparations for the event had reportedly been progressing strongly prior to the decision to postpone.

    Existing Tickets Will Automatically Transfer

All tickets already registered for TOKEN2049 Dubai will automatically carry forward to the rescheduled event in April 2027.

Attendees do not need to take any action for their tickets to remain valid.

However, for those who prefer to attend an earlier event, organizers have provided an alternative option.

Ticket holders may transfer their passes to TOKEN2049 Singapore, scheduled for October 7–8, 2026, at Marina Bay Sands.

Transfers can be processed through the official event transfer form provided by the organizers.

Dubai Remains a Major Global Crypto Hub

Despite the postponement, organizers reaffirmed their commitment to Dubai as one of the most important global hubs for the digital asset industry.

The city has become a focal point for crypto companies, exchanges, and Web3 startups due to its supportive regulatory environment and government-backed initiatives aimed at attracting blockchain innovation.

The TOKEN2049 team also expressed gratitude for the continued support of Dubai’s regulators and government partners, noting that they look forward to returning with an even stronger event in 2027.

    Next Global Gathering: TOKEN2049 Singapore

With the Dubai event rescheduled, the next major gathering for the TOKEN2049 community will take place in Singapore on October 7–8, 2026.

TOKEN2049 Singapore has historically drawn thousands of participants from across the global crypto ecosystem, including venture capital firms, exchanges, builders, and institutional investors.

The event is expected to continue serving as a key meeting point for industry leaders shaping the future of digital assets.
